Former President Donald Trump made it clear on Sunday that he’s not a fan of pop star Taylor Swift. Posting on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump wrote, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”
This came after Swift publicly announced her support for Trump’s opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, in the 2024 presidential election.
Swift took to Instagram to share her endorsement, saying, “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for Kamala Harris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe in. We need calm leadership, not chaos.”
Her post quickly gained attention and even led more than 400,000 people to visit a voter registration site.
Trump’s angry reaction followed an earlier incident where he had mistakenly “accepted” an AI-generated fake endorsement from Swift. Afterward, Swift clarified her stance, emphasizing the importance of being clear about her voting choices to fight misinformation.

In an interview on Fox & Friends on September 11, Trump responded to Swift’s real endorsement. “I was never a Taylor Swift fan,” he said. “It was just a matter of time… she’s very liberal and always endorses Democrats.”
He hinted that her decision to support Harris could hurt her career, saying she might “pay a price for it in the marketplace.”
Trump also compared Swift to Brittany Mahomes, the wife of NFL star Patrick Mahomes, whom he described as “a big MAGA fan,” adding, “That’s the one I like much better than Taylor Swift.”
While Trump has said there will be “no third debate” for him, a vice presidential debate between Tim Walz and J.D. Vance is set for October 1 on CBS News.
