When the talks about a possible ceasefire is underway, the Israel military has shared footage showing the tunnel where the country’s hostages were held and killed allegedly by the Hamas militant group.
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) shared the video on social media wherein blood was visible on the ground within a cramped tunnel which was sealed by an iron door and a chess set was also seen in it.
According to the IDF, the tunnel was deep underground in the passageway and six hostages were kept over there and killed by the Hamas group. IDF’s spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said that the video was recorded by the military last Friday and a forensic team investigated the incident.

Admiral Hagari further stated that the hostages’ bodies were found and retrieved two days later by the Israeli military from the southern Gaza area of Rafah, as reported by Reuters.
IDF, in a post on X stated, “IDF Spokesperson, RAdm. Daniel Hagari, reveals the underground terrorist tunnel where Hersh, Eden, Carmel, Ori, Alex and Almog were held in brutal conditions and murdered by Hamas.”
The Israel-Hamas war broke out on October 7 last year when the militant group attacked Israel and killed around 1,200 people and took 250 people hostage, according to Tel Aviv. In response, the Israel military has killed over 40,000 Palestinian people, according to Gaza’s health ministry.
Talks for a possible ceasefire between Israel and Hamas being spearheaded by the US still remains underway with no possibility of a silver lining as Israel’s offensive against Gaza remains underway.
